Attic insulation is where rodents and birds prefer to live, and once they have been through it, it is no longer doing the job it was installed to do — tunnelled, matted flat, and contaminated with droppings and urine. Attic assessment
We get into the attic and look at the whole space rather than the hatch area — depth and coverage, contamination, moisture staining, whether the vents and baffles are clear, and where anything has been getting in. You get told plainly what condition it is in.

Scope decision
Some attics need a full removal because the contamination is through the material; some need a section replaced and the rest topped up; some just need topping up and the animals kept out. We tell you which of the three you are looking at and why, and we will not sell a removal to an attic that does not need one.

Pests out, gaps closed
Nothing goes back in until the animals are gone and the way in is sealed. Insulating over an active problem buries it, and you end up paying twice. This stage ties directly to rodent exclusion and to bird and vent work on the roofline.

New material is installed to even coverage with vents, baffles and any recessed fixtures kept clear, and we walk the finished attic before closing it up. You get a record of what was removed, what went back in and where the entry points were sealed.

Attic Insulation — straight answers
Can you top it up, or does all of it have to come out?
It depends how far the contamination goes. Localised nesting in one bay often means removing that area and topping up the rest. Widespread droppings and urine through the material means a full removal, because you cannot clean insulation — you can only take it out. We make that call in the attic with you rather than over the phone.
Is contaminated insulation an actual problem or just unpleasant?
Both. Compressed and tunnelled insulation stops performing the way it was installed to, and rodent and bird waste in an attic is a soiling and odour issue in a space that shares air paths with the rooms below through hatches, light fixtures and duct penetrations. That combination is why removal and remediation usually get done together.
Do you deal with how they got in, or just the insulation?
Both, and in that order. We are a pest control company doing insulation work, not an insulation company that happens to be in your attic — so the roof and soffit gaps, unscreened vents and construction voids get closed as part of the job. Otherwise you have new insulation and the same tenants.
Is the insulation work guaranteed?
Our results guarantee covers treatment work. Insulation is an installation job rather than a treatment, so it sits outside that guarantee — but any pest treatment and exclusion carried out alongside it is covered in the normal way. We would rather be clear about that up front than have you find out later.
