Crawling Insect Treatment
Ants, spiders, wasps, beetles and the rest of the crawling and flying insects that turn up in Calgary homes each have a source — a nest, a moisture point, a way in. We treat the source rather than the symptom, which is the difference between a fix and a monthly ritual.

How we handle it
- 01
Identification
Different insects need genuinely different treatment. Pavement ants, carpenter ants and wasps are three separate jobs, and treating one as another is the usual reason a previous attempt failed.
- 02
Source location
We find the nest or the entry point rather than treating where you happened to see them. For ants that means following the trail; for wasps it means locating the nest before anything is applied.
- 03
Targeted treatment
Licensed application at the nest, the harbourage and the perimeter, in the amount the situation actually calls for. Wasp nests are removed rather than simply sprayed.
- 04
Perimeter & prevention
A treated perimeter and sealed entry points keep the next wave out. We tell you which gaps are worth closing and which are not.

Common questions
Crawling Insect Treatment — straight answers
When do wasps become a problem in Calgary?
Nests are built through spring and stay small and unnoticed. They become obvious in late summer, when the colony peaks and wasps get aggressive around food and drink. That is when most calls come in — but a nest found in June is far easier and cheaper to deal with than the same nest in August.
Are carpenter ants actually damaging my house?
They can. Unlike termites they do not eat wood, but they excavate galleries in it to nest — and they choose wood that is already damp or damaged. Finding carpenter ants indoors often means there is a moisture problem somewhere worth investigating.
Do I need to leave the house during treatment?
For most interior insect treatment, a short absence is enough, and we will tell you exactly how long before we begin. Many perimeter and nest treatments do not require you to leave at all.
Will one treatment be enough?
For a single wasp nest, usually yes. For ants it depends on the species and whether the nest is inside the structure. We will tell you at the inspection which of the two you are dealing with rather than after the invoice.
