Exterior Rodent Control

Most indoor rodent problems start outside the building. An exterior programme keeps the pressure on voles and mice at the property line — in the runways, along the fence line and around the foundation — so far fewer of them ever reach the wall. Our technicians hold Alberta certification in exterior rodent control, and every visit is documented.

How we handle it

  1. 01

    Site survey

We walk the whole exterior and identify where the pressure is actually coming from — harbourage, food, cover, and the routes rodents take toward the building. That survey sets the number and position of stations rather than spacing them out evenly and hoping.

  2. 02

    Station placement

Tamper-resistant, locked and anchored stations set at the pressure points, close against the structure and out of the way of pets and children. Products used are registered with Health Canada and placed by an Alberta-licensed technician.

  3. 03

    Scheduled servicing

Stations are opened, cleaned, replenished and repositioned on a set schedule through the season, with consumption recorded each visit. Placement is not static — autumn pressure and construction next door both change where rodents travel.

  4. 04

    Reporting and follow-through

You get a record of what each station showed and a plain read on whether pressure is rising or falling. Where the survey finds a way into the building we tell you, because exterior work reduces the number knocking on the door but it does not close the door. Treatments in the programme come with guaranteed results.

Where we work

Exterior Rodent Control across Calgary

We run exterior rodent programmes for Calgary homes, acreages, warehouses, retail sites and commercial yards — especially properties backing onto fields, storm ponds, pathways and green space, and sites next to active construction where disturbed ground pushes rodents outward. Also serving Airdrie, Chestermere, Cochrane, Okotoks and Strathmore.

Common questions

Exterior Rodent Control — straight answers

Why treat outside if the rodents are getting inside?

Because the supply is outside. Interior trapping deals with the animals already in the building; an exterior programme reduces how many arrive at the wall in the first place. On properties next to fields, pathways or active construction, that outside pressure is the whole reason the indoor problem keeps repeating.

When should the programme start?

Spring is the natural start — you get ahead of the breeding season instead of chasing it — and the programme then runs through to the autumn push, when the first hard cold snaps drive rodents toward buildings. Commercial sites and properties with constant pressure usually run year-round rather than seasonally.

Is it safe having stations around the yard?

Stations are tamper-resistant, locked, anchored down and positioned tight against structures where pets and children are not going to be. Everything in them is registered with Health Canada and placed by an Alberta-licensed technician, and we walk the placements with you so you know exactly where each one is.

Does this replace sealing up the house?

No, and we would rather say so than sell you the wrong thing. An exterior programme lowers the pressure; exclusion closes the entry points. Properties that get both stop having the annual autumn problem — properties that get only one usually see it come back.
